School Security

The safety and security of your child is of utmost importance to us. Please support us with this by bringing your child into their room, settling them and passing on any important information you feel staff might need to know.

Make sure that we know who will be collecting your child and that we have met them beforehand. We can also set up a safe password system for you. Please remember we can only hand over your child to an adult (someone who we know is over 16 yrs old). If you have access through our main security door please ensure you do not let anyone through with you. They also to need to use the video intercom to gain access.

Always use the pedestrian gate. The car park is for staff and visitors who require an accessible parking space. Please do not use your mobile phone within the centre. If you need to make a call or text you must do this in the reception area only. Use of phone cameras or video is not permitted in the building. If you wish to take photographs of your child within the setting please discuss this with your child’s key person or the Headteacher.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

If a member of staff has a serious concern about a child, the centre is required to discuss this with the parent and/or report the concern to the relevant professionals. Please see our child protection policy for further information.
The Designated Senior Person for child protection is the Headteacher.

Equal Opportunities / (Single Equality Duty)

As an inclusive centre we ensure equality of opportunity for all children and their families. The centre values diversity and strives to promote an atmosphere of mutual respect and trust amongst all children, parents and staff within our community. A copy of our Inclusion policy/Single Equalities Duty can be downloaded from our website or requested from the main office.
