Nursery School

Our school is maintained by the local authority and we are able to offer up to 100 places for three to four year olds on a part time basis.

All children are eligible for their free entitlement of 15 universal hours nursery education the term after they turn three.

Generally children attend for three hour sessions, either 5 mornings or 5 afternoons, however we do offer some flexible places on request.

Your child maybe eligible for 30 hours extended entitlement:

The eligibility criteria is as follows:

  • Parents (whether two-parent or lone parent) are working
  • 16 hours working /or the equivalent to 16 hours working based on the National minimum wage or national living wage
  • Income cap of £100,000 (one or both parents)
  • Includes zero-hours contracts and self-employed
  • One/or both parent/s is away on leave (parental, maternal etc.)
  • One/both parent/s is on Statutory sick pay

If you are eligible this is what you need to do:

  • Log onto the following website: https://www.childcarechoices.gov.uk/
  • Apply for your 30 hours on this site if you think you are eligible
  • Please print off proof of eligibility with the reference number they give you and bring it to nursery

(We are able to provide the full range of wrap around care through our Cascades provision.)

Session Times:

Morning session 8:45am – 11:45am

Afternoon Times 12:45pm – 3:45pm

Admission Criteria:

We follow Lancashire County Council’s agreed admission criteria for schools.

The school has three points of transition September, January and April if places are available.
