Forest School

What is Forest School?

Forest School is an outdoor play and learning experience for all children.

Activities teach children about caring for, managing and understanding the woodland environment.

Through Forest School experiences children will enhance their learning in all areas of the curriculum.

When and where will my child go?

Your child will attend the Forest school in their normal Nursery session with our experienced fully qualified Forest School Leader:

Diana Chew (Nursery School Practitioner)

Diana hold's a full outdoor and paediatric first aid certificate and will be happy to talk to you more about your child’s experiences.

We go to Salthill Quarry with volunteers from the Wildlife Trust. Children have at least 4 opportunities to go within the year, once each week or in a block of one week.

Our Forest School Leaders have also developed our Nursery School outdoor area to provide more forest school activities and experiences.
