Every child has a key person who will act as the main carer to your child whilst they are settling in. The role of the Key Person is to help your child feel safe in the daycare environment. The key person will get to know your child and family really well and will provide a link between home and the setting. They will carry out the home visit and collect information about your child to support planning their learning. They are available for informal chats but will also meet up with you termly to discuss your child’s progress and record your child’s learning journey in a learning journal which all carers are more than welcome to add to.
