Cascades is the Daycare element of Ribbledale Children's Centre. The provision first opened in October 2006. Cascades is a modern, purpose built facility with friendly, well trained staff.
The curriculum and running of Cascades Childcare is overseen by fully qualified teaching staff.
Cascades Childcare is open Monday to Friday from 7.45 am to 5.45 pm for 51 weeks of the year.
Cascades Daycare exists to improve the lives of children and families by providing a variety of flexible services that meet community needs.

The Early Years Foundation Stage
The The Early Years Foundation Stage is a framework followed by early years practitioners to help them work with children aged 0-5.
The framework offers information and guidance on child development, observations, effective practice and ways in which to plan and resource for the youngest children.

The principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage are grouped into four themes:-
A Unique Child - every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resiliant, capable and self assured.
Positive Relationships - children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure relationships with parents and/or a key person.
Enabling Environments - the environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's development and learning.
Learning and development - children develop and learn in different ways and at different rates and all areasof Learning and Development are equally important and inter-connected.
